Now is a good time to start planning to come to the Dan Paddy Andy Festival this year. The programme is nearly finalised but it has been confirmed that the music in the marquee will be mighty with locally and nationally known entertainers. From Wicklow we have the up-and-coming Jack Keogh and from Kildare we will have the ever-popular Bernie Heaney. Heart and Soul will be appearing in the marquee for the first time and Ger Healy-Rae, the singing Jarvey, is back after a few years absence. Old favorites, Eddie Lee and the Coffey Band, Mike Condon and Paudie McAuliffe will also be among those helping to keep the dancers on the floor.
It promises to be a great August Bank Holiday Weekend in Lyreacrompane so please remind the exiles as it would be a great opportunity to visit home and meet up with a lot of neighbours and friends on a social occasion.
